In early 2022, the MUNICIPAL team approached us with an ambitious brief: design, develop and produce a complete collection of footwear samples for Mark Wahlbergís HBO Max documentary series, all within just ten weeks.
The project involved creating four distinct silhouettes, developing custom tooling and establishing the technical and design foundations for MUNICIPALís future footwear collection.
Among the initial concepts, the M.OG 1 quickly emerged as the standout, It became the starting point for an entirely new chapter for the brand and the foundation of its growing footwear category.
The shoe features a high-density, multi-layer system combining three different foams to provide cushioning, support and long-lasting comfort. The upper was designed with the same versatility in mind, balancing a bold, statement-driven aesthetic with the durability and functionality required for training and everyday wear.
